    1. ROOM- I will change the way I group learners in my room, re visit planning for my cycle.
TERM-my summative assessment will be more fluid and imbedded throughout the process of the inquiry rather than one final cooking and design task. Develop oppoortunities to ensure the full inquiry model is followed through during my cycle.
YEAR- I will speak to management about working in collaboration with classroom teachers on their plan for the UOI and see how our specialist planning fits and is linked to the overall unit.

    3. Changes to make
Before the kids are back - I let my class design the layout of the room so I will receive designs on Monday and we as a class will vote on the one we think will best enhance learning. So nothing to change before Monday re environment. I will be looking at my classroom signs/display information after the school tour we've had and maybe updating some.
This term - I will certainly take a closer look at boxes 3 and 4 on the bubble planner within the prepared plan for this term and be able to confidently follow the links between.
Over the year - I really want to implement workshop teaching in a different and more effective way. Maths will be my starter point as I keep all 31 students every day which can be very demanding and this may be a perfect way to use my time more wisely. I will also pass on the info about workshop teaching throughout a team or jointly with another teacher.
I will also keep looking at the PYP curriculum doc.

    6. What will I change before the children are next back in my room?
Change how I display my WALTs and success criteria, linking it to the key concepts, so what we are learning is even more visible and obvious, to my students.
What will I change this term?
I will ensure that there is more of a student voice in my planning and teaching.
What will I change over this year?
I will become more involved in the planning process, now that I have a deeper understanding of the bubble planner. I will also make sure that my assessment is more formative.

More planning that involves discussion in multiple groups. My planning template will show more clarity throughout the inquiry process.
What will I change this term?
Self assessment of students and their learning journey will be clearer.
What will I change over this year?
Wall displays will show learning and students wonderings. Presentations could be shown on tv through a slideshow. Photos of students learning throughout the inquiry process. Clear-files in our library to show the students learning.

    16. 1) Design a lesson to deconstruct and discuss the outcomes of the UOI before we get past provocations.
      2) Put more student agency around the assessment, rather than just in the planning.
      3) HAve built an expectation that the 'Action' part of the cycle is purposeful, rather than a means to an end.

    17. As a result of my learning I will change the way I engage with my teaching team on the practice of the PYP in the classroom. Having a clearer sense of the scope of the programme will allow me to engage more meaningfully in PL conversations and visits to the classroom, including interactions with students. Further, over the longer term, I have a clearer picture about how to weave the principles of the PYP through our strategic plan and mission. So far this has lived as an uncertainty for me.

    18. Reflection 3.

What will I change before the children are next back in my room?
I think that I will go back into my classroom feeling more empowered and knowledgeable about the IB.
What will I change this term?
I would like to try and talk to my team about how we can ensure that our learners are at the heart of our inquiries and how we can try and engage them even more.
I will implement letting my reading groups help to choose our texts around their interests within our inquiry.
What will I change over this year?
I will try to incorporate more teaching as inquiry across all our subjects.

    19. What will I change before the children are next back in their room? Display the central idea and key concepts in a more prominent way (and refer to them more frequently)
What will I change this term? Teach maths in an inquiry format and attempt to connect to the inquiry.
What will I change over the year? More active approach to collaborative planning.

    20. I enjoyed the readings and feel inspired by them. These help with teaching and learning ideas, as well as growing my understanding of PYP and inquiry based learning. I will make more time to work my way through further readings on the list, as well as additional inquiry and PYP related reading.

    21. What will I change before the children are next back in my room? more student voice and making students the center of our inquiry even though I already do this I struggle with what is really student led inquiry when we already pre-plan the inquiry planner. I would like to involve students more in the actual planning. I came from a school (prior to this PYP school where we asked students what they would like to learn and then based our planning around that) Now we plan and then involve students. So I want to involve my kids more in the planning.
What will I change this term? See above!
What will I change over this year? Preparing myself for next year, new displays, better understanding and lots of great ideas from our classroom walks.
